And why this year, I’m focusing on what matters most
After months of quiet reflection, creative exploration, and a few deep breaths, I’m so proud to share something close to my heart:
Fern Dale Handcrafted is now Fern Dale Rituals.
This change might seem subtle, a shift in name, but it marks something much deeper. It’s a return to the essence of why I began this journey in the first place.
From Fern Dale Handcrafted to Fern Dale Rituals
When Fern Dale began. I was searching for a way to bring calm into my home. Making wax melts became a creative refuge, a way to reconnect with my senses and carve out small moments of stillness in the middle of a demanding career.
As I shared those first blends, I realised I wasn’t just offering fragrance. I was offering a feeling. A pause. A ritual.
Over time, Fern Dale grew into something more. I began exploring skincare, drawing on my own experiences with sensitivity and allergies. I started working with both botanicals and tallow; two ingredients that might seem worlds apart, but together offer something truly special. And I found myself returning again and again to the idea of ritual. Of scent and skin. Of care that is both sensory and intentional.
That’s when I knew it was time for the name to evolve.
Why “Rituals”?
Because that’s what this has always been about. Lighting a wax melt to mark the end of the day. Massaging a balm into your skin with care. Taking a breath, even when the world feels loud. These are not luxuries. They are acts of care. Acts of remembering.
The word “ritual” speaks to the quiet power of repetition, of presence, of choosing yourself, again and again.
A More Focused Offering
This year, Fern Dale Rituals will look a little different. I’ve made the decision to slim down the product range and focus on the things that truly matter to you, and to me.
That means:
• Home fragrance that transforms your space: wax melts, candles, and scent blends that ground and uplift.
• Skincare rooted in nourishment and simplicity: tallow soaps, new tallow butters and creams, and deeply restorative tallow balms.
• Your favourites, refined: our best-selling whipped body butter, top-to-toe balms, beard butter, and beard oil will remain; crafted with the same care, clarity, and intention as ever.
This shift allows me to pour more energy into what I love most: creating products that support your rituals, your skin, and your space. It also gives me room to grow slowly and sustainably, with a deeper focus on seasonal collections, storytelling, and sensory connection.
What’s Staying the Same
While the name and focus have evolved, the soul of Fern Dale remains unchanged. I’m still handcrafting every product in small batches. I’m still committed to transparency, sustainability, and quality. And I’m still here, behind the scenes, pouring intention into every blend, every pour, every ritual.

This rebrand opens the door to new possibilities; collections that feel like stories, deeper rituals for scent and skin, and a space that honours the beauty of slowing down.
